Winter Break Registration
In an effort to better serve the needs of our students, Residence Life will allow current on-campus residents to stay during Winter Break when the residence halls are otherwise closed, under a set of limited conditions. Due to limited staffing over Winter Break, residents will be moved to temporary housing in Missouri Hall. Students who need to return early on January 9-11 will be allowed to return to their permanent room. A fee will be assessed to the student account of residents staying on-campus over break.
2024-25 Academic Year:
Winter Break: Saturday, December 14 at 6 p.m. – Sunday, January 12 at 10 a.m.
Registration will open November 1 at 8 a.m.
The deadline to register for Winter Break without a late charge is Monday, December 9 at 5 p.m.
Students registering for a “late departure” and/or “early arrival” are allowed to remain in their regularly assigned housing space. Residents staying for the duration of Winter Break are required to move to temporary housing spaces in Missouri Hall.
-
- The temporary housing space in Missouri Hall includes access to a community kitchen equipped with a full-size refrigerator, sink, oven with stovetop, and microwave. Residents are encouraged to make use of the space, but should understand that housekeeping during the University holiday is limited, and any messes should be cleaned after using the space.
Students staying the duration of Winter Break may check into their temporary Missouri Hall room by coming to the Residence Life Central Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13 to check out their temporary room key.
Students must be out of their permanent room by 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, and will not be allowed back into their building until it reopens at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 12.
Campbell Apartments residents are allowed to remain in their apartments for Winter Break.
