The STEM research minor allows you to sharpen your research skills in science, technology, engineering, and math-related fields. You conduct research, design experiments, practice oral and written scientific communication skills, interact with professional scientists, and discuss scientific literature. You can also share your research results at Truman’s annual Student Research Conference.

Students with the skills and competencies gained from this minor are in demand in careers such as researcher, educator, data analyst, medical researcher, and science journalist and are strong candidates for admission to graduate programs and medical school.
