Music Organizations
National Association for Music Education
All students intending to become music educators in the future are strongly encouraged to become a member of NAfME-C (National Association for Music Education – Collegiate). Truman’s chapter of NAfME-Collegiate helps students network with other students, practicing educators, and school administrators throughout the state and nation.
The group holds meetings and programs on campus each year and at the annual MMEA (Missouri Music Educators) Conference held each January in Osage Beach, Mo., to promote increased interest and knowledge in best practice pedagogy and program building, quality of teaching, research, and scholarship in music.
