Where are they now?

What do our history graduates do after leaving Truman? Here is a partial listing. Please send additions, corrections, and updates to history@truman.edu.

Samantha Barnhardt (2017) is Member Support Specialist at encoura.

Thomas Barrow (2017) is a Sales and Technical Service Representative at John Schneider and Associates, Inc.

Peyton Beasley (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Jon (Tucker) Broadbooks (2020) is pursuing a master’s degree in History Museum Studies with an emphasis on curation at the State University of New York’s Cooperstown Graduate Program in Museum Studies in Cooperstown, NY (the oldest museum program in the United States).

Christian Flanery (2017) is a Presidential Management Fellow at the Center for Disease Control.

Isaac GottmannĀ (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Elementary Education.

Max Grasser (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Kayleen M. Green (2016) enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies. She currently teaches at Lindbergh High School in St. Louis, Missouri.

Cole C. Haugen (2016) earned an MAE from Truman inĀ  2017. He currently teaches at Savannah High School in Savannah, Missouri.

Joseph Mattivi (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Scott McEachern (2017) earned an MAE at Truman. He taught for several years and now works at St. Louis College of Health Careers.

Patrick B. McGlasson (2016) worked with Teach for America and accepted an assignment to teach Biology in Mississippi for the 2016-17 academic year. He now studies law at the University of Illinois.

Anne Morgan (2019) completed a master’s program in library science and is currently Technical Services Librarian at A. T. Still University.

Hannah Pohl (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Jonathan M. Rembold (2016) enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies. He taught high school for two years at School of the Osage and is now a Business Operations Analyst at Cushman & Wakefield in St. Louis, Missouri.

Lauren Reed (2020) will be attending graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in public history with a focus on museum studies. She plans to enter the museums field, working either in exhibit development or archives.

Joshua Sander (2016) graduated from Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies in 2017.

Corey Schmidt (2016) completed an Info Technologies graduate program at University of Michigan’s School of Information and is now working as ArchiveSpace Project Manager at the University of Georgia.

Christine Schulz (2018) has been accepted into the Latin American Studies graduate program at the University of Utah. She was awarded an FLAS fellowship which covers full tuition and provides an annual stipend.

Andrew Stewart (2020) is studying law at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

MaryClare Stoker (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Derrick J. Stone (2016) enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies. He is currently the Assistant Cross Country Coach for the School District of Clayton in Clayton, Missouri.

Edward C. Theobald (2016) enrolled in Saint Louis University’s School of Law and is currently Assistant Attorney General in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Denise M. Thoreson (2016) enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies. She currently teaches at Liberty High School in Colorado Spring, Colorado.

Adam Vornax (2020) is pursuing a graduate program in military history at Norwich University.

Sadie Williams (2017) received a Fulbright to teach in the Canary Islands, Spain. She then attended George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs where she earned an MA in International Affairs. She is currently a Senior Associate at CollaborateUp.

William Wood (2020) is enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies.

Madeline Wright (2020) enrolled in Truman’s MAE program in Social Studies. She plans to teach either history or English, or hopefully some interesting combination of the two in her home city of St. Louis.
