With a film studies minor, you can combine English, theatre, communication, and more to discover a broad range of film elements. You learn about the production, distribution, exhibition, history, and theory of film while absorbing aesthetic, anthropological, cultural, economic, political, and social perspectives.
This interdisciplinary studies minor allows you to explore a variety of genres and approaches to film and to practice analyzing films through in-class discussion, written assignments, and visual production. You can also select production courses, including photography, motion graphics, digital video, acting, screenwriting, and costume design.
If you want to turn this interdisciplinary studies minor into a major, consider Truman’s interdisciplinary studies major.
