It is the discretion of the individual instructor to implement the grading policy. The grading policies are located in each course syllabus.

A minimum of a “C” letter grade is required for passing of all required courses in the Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program.

Per Truman State University Graduate Studies policy, MAT program students may not receive more than two (2) “C” letter grades throughout the entire program. After the first earned “C” in a required course, the student is given a warning email and reminder of the Graduate Studies policy by the Graduate Office personnel. After the second earned “C” in a required course, the student is given a warning email and reminder of the Graduate Studies policy by the Graduate Office personnel. Dismissal from the MAT program and Truman State University Graduate Studies program occurs when more than two (2) earned “C” grades are acquired within the duration of the program.
