Truman’s jazz studies minor gives you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals while unlocking your creative potential through improvisation and composition. You gain historical and cultural understandings of the art and science of music, while applying your knowledge and aesthetic appreciation to both personal and professional settings.
In addition to coursework and lessons, you can take part in jazz ensembles and Truman’s annual Jazz Festival.
